My professional background has been in HR management and development. After 10 years working as an HR manager in major plcs I joined Coopers&Lybrand (latterly PricewaterhouseCoopers) as an HR manager and subsequently became asenior consultant. I increasingly specialised in management development and coaching, and left the firm to set up my own business in the 1990s. I sit on the board of an SME manufacturing business and I have considerable experience of working in the charity sector. I also work as a business mentor with the Princes Trust.

I love what I do, and my particular focus is always on enabling clients to feel confident and competent to move forward in whatever direction is right for them. I am always interested in what makes my clients feel confident and in what situations they feel effortlessly at ease. At the heart of my work is my belief that we all have a lot more wisdom inside us than we are regularly able to access and as we increase our consciousness within our day to day lives so we are able to develop our skills and potential.

I am totally committed to my own on going development and have studied a number of different approaches to coaching. I believe in working eclectically with clients, always working from their current reality and drawing on various approaches as appropriate to the particular situation. I am qualified to use a number of psychometric tools including Myers Briggs and Firo B; I also have a number of other models and techniques eg Career Anchors, NLP interventions, personal constructs which I can use as appropriate.

I believe that the development needs of men and women can vary and have a particular interest in women’s development. I led in a research project to look at top women’s perceptions around female career progression. Apart from working, walking my two dogs, golf, tennis, exhibitions, friends and family occupy my time.
